Da Vinci Frame???

There was a thread started last november about this bicycle. I'm trying to follow up on that thread by asking anyone have they ever tried out this bicycle and does anyone know anything about the manufacturer? (seeing as on the internet no such company exists and its not the company: da vinci designs)
I was looking for a Felt F95 Garmin Team Issue which I tried in the shop but then the owner said why don't you have a look at this bike (the da vinci). He said it was a good deal with a shimano sora rear derailleur and shifters, shimano 105 front derailleur and chainset and gipiemme rims. I was shocked to hear the price was 740euros. I asked him what's the catch and he said there wasn't one. He told me then that the company was set up by a man in Italy and smaller firms can sell bikes cheaper cause they don't intend to sell as many bikes as larger companies. Therefore they buy less materials and that means they can afford to buy the more expensive groupsets but sell them at cheaper prices. An example would be:[FONT=Arial]When a small company builds a bike frame and has to decide between tube "A" for 47euro and tube "B" for 41euro, they will use the better of the two because, hey what's another 6euro? Which tube do you think your well respected huge company will use if they are buying 76,000 of that same tube. Think about it, that's 456,000euro to them.

Does anyone have any advice about this? Do you think that even though the groupset and attachments (saddle, rims, stem, handlebars etc.) are brand name and good quality, maybe the frame is rubbish and could shear on the first pothole hit?
