Mattp1975 posted a tasty pic of an internal fixator holding his hip together. He fell riding and busticated his hip. I know from experience that this is not a rare event. So, in the spirit of Matt's post, I think it be cool to hear stories from people about their big smash ups, be it on the bike or elsewhere, and to see piccies, if available of the twisted human debris that was left.
I know Jono L has piccies of his state after taking a tumble in a race somewhere in SE Asia. Taniwanker had a crash in a crit last Friday that required that he get hit by oversized men on bikes as he and his bike rested on the macadam. I keep buggin' him for pictures, but he's yet to comply.
So, what say you? It'll just be good hearted thing, with people swappin' tales about the history behind their scars. No politics. No Powercranks. Points will be awarded for the most gruesome tales and double points will be given for any piccie of someones open fracture profusely bleeding. Avulsions will be considered on a case by case basis. I'd like to say that Steve the Admin would award $500 in cash, bike kit, or coupons for some bike store, but that wouldn't exactly be honest. If however people who take part in this openly voice their belief that Steve will be giving, we can perhaps paint him into a corner and force him to give up cash. In the worst case, if he doesn't give up cash, we can sue him for breach of contract.
