  1. Why is it that so many people seem compelled to post non-related subjects in these NG's? There are
so many NG's to talk about everything,..........use them!! In this NG we want to talk about
    COOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And your silly assed point being? You are obviously a newbie to usenet. :-) Don't be so self
righteous and you might have more fun!

    Obligatory cooking thang:

Tomorrow's rice dressing is different this time since sis' and the brother in law did not like the
seafood pilaf I made for Thanksgiving... which was okay as that left more for dad and me! ;-d

2 quarts organic free range chicken broth, 4 cups 5 grain mixed rice (included two different types
of wild rice), 4 stalks celery, chopped, several fresh minced sage leaves, 1 can of straw mushrooms,
1 whole chicken breast, chopped fine, (I used a pre-cooked one from a chicken I roasted a couple of
days ago as that is easier to chop fine), and two diced roast garlic basil chicken sausages from the
North Austin Sun Harvest, garlic powder and lemon pepper to taste, and about 2 tbs. fresh minced
ginger, and 4 tbs. low sodium soy sauce.

Put in the pressure cooker and bring up to pressure, turn down to low for 30 minutes.

Turned out great.... Hope the kids like it this time. :-)

Damn it's good to see that WebTV still provides some entertainment value.

He/she has a point. I seem to find myself deleting-before-reading a whole lot of threads here
lately. I'm used to topics like "Whole wheat vs. enriched" wandering off chattily into discussions
of guitars or vacations in France, but *not* endless political wrangles and threads with obscene
subject lines. RFC just doesn't seem to be as pleasant a place as it used to be.

    Nonsense.

Waves come and go -- especially when school's out -- but rfc's core is always there. Food, and all
the other facets associated with it can be found immediately upon even the most cursory glance. It
comes down to the simple axiom, "If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem (non-
    participation)."

That nitwit from WebTV is part of the problem.
