  1. Ok well i have small cycling shorts and was just wondering does it cause the blood from circulating around to 1 leg, my right leg feels strange like all tight and the blood doesn't feel like its going round.

When i wear 3/4 lenghts it doesn't happen. Only when i wear cycling shorts.

Has anyone had this or can describe it alot better?

I can only give my thoughts as I am still new to cycling and could be wrong, but I was wearing a medium short bib for a month and had the same experience. exchanged them for a large and they felt MUCH better all around and didn't experience the loss of blood flow through my legs anymore.

  3. Bumping - Still want more info.

  4. Did you try a larger size? Lycra shorts should not impede blood flow

  5. I dont think it's the lycra he is talking about as much as the elastic at the leg opening being to tight. I would try a larger size and you should be ok.

Either way, properly sized it shouldn't be a problem. An alternative would be shorts/bibs w/out the elastic band at the hem. Giordana FC and Forma Red bits are like that (use a wide band of fabric (Moxie) instea of a narrow elastic bit). I use 'em, and they're über comfortable, and the legs stay in place (even on my skinny legs). Descente uses the same sort of thing in some of their bibs/shorts, as does Pearl Izumi. I don't know what Castelli and DeMarchi are offering in terms of that feature. You won't, however, find it on cheaper store brands like Performance Bike, Nashbar, et all.

You could check Voler. I dunno.

  7. I agree, I dont think his are properly sized. I have 2 pair of castelli bib shorts and had the same problems and had to bump up to a Large.

  8. If you've got oddly shaped legs, and despite best efforts, you can't find shorts whose elastic doesn't squeeze to hard, you could take your shorts to a seamstress or tailor to have longer elastic put in. Of course you could also take your shorts to an unseemly mistress....I think that'd be a lot more fun.

  9. Their 20% Spandex and 80% Nylon

  10. personally I would exchange them if possible (depending on how old they are or how many times used) for a larger size. I (again personally) prefer a set of bib shorts as they keep my shorts pulled up high and I dont have to pull them up at any time while I am riding.
