TTT Road bars

Buy a wider size? 3T bars are measured end-to-end, while most manufacturers use center-to-center.

Ah...that explains why the 44cm TTT THE bars I was looking at the other days didn't seem wide
enough. I didn't buy them.

Hi, I believe that Deda and ITM also measure o-o, while others such as Easton go c-c. Another point
which has been discussed before [I know because I did a search a while back], is where the bar is
actually measured. I have a set of no name bars on my LeMond that are speced as 42cm c-c. The only
place they meet that dimension is at the ends of the bar. If you measure across in the area of the
brake hoods, they are 40cm c-c. I plan on buying new bars and before discovering this, I was set to
buy 42cm c-c, now I'm not so sure. My old bike came with bars that are 38cm c-c and it has a frame
size of 23"[57.5cm], while the LeMond is a 53cm frame. I think this has been discussed too. Old
theory was narrow bars for better aerodynamics, now wider bars for improved breathing. It all sound
good;-) Life is Good! Jeff
