  1. Dean!!!!! Whats with you constantly posting and pushing the Mother earth trike to topics that have
nothing to do with the trike. I have gotten 2 private E mails from you about the mother trike. 2
emails that were in reply to my posts that had nothing to do with trikes.

I've been wondering this also. I have also received two private e-mails about the mother trike in
response to posts that had nothing to do with trikes.

Perhaps Mr. Arthur is an internet performance artist. When I posted a notice about Off-Topic Posts
the first response was an off-topic post (about that trike) from Dean Arthur.

Perhaps Mr. Arthur will grace us with some more irony by responding to this topic with a trike post.

Yes, David, Mr. Arthur can do more damage to ARBR than all the OT posts that Mr. Sherman and I can
manage. I too have been puzzled by all the trike posts of Mr. Arthur. Frankly, I despair of
    newsgroups ever being overly intelligent.

  5. I am 'overly intelligent' (+4 sd).

I will not post (very often) to ARBR until you're gone with the wind that we all blow and that
    always stinks.

No, you are not intelligent at all since you are top posting which everyone knows is really dumb.
But you do not know how to post at all, so it would be nice of you not to clutter up ARBR with your
nonsensical mutterings whether I am here or not. But more importantly, did you not see that my
address was to David? If I had been responding to one of your posts I would have used a different
    language on you entirely.

As for me being gone from this newsgroup any time soon, don't get your hopes up. I will always be
here to handle idiots like you. Who else is here to deodorize you except me.

Ed, in a previous post you stated you are new to the Internet. You will be shocked to find not
"everyone" likes bottom posters, especially bottom posters who do not edit their posts. All it takes
to top post is a reasonable attention span and the knowledge of how to use a newsreader.

The only thing I will agree is that "some" people, not "everyone", like top posting, and "some"
people like bottom posting. Except, of course, those so arrogant that believe "everyone" agrees
    with them!

    Enjoy

I think when all that is going on is a bit of banter it does not make much difference how you
post, but for anything more substantial it is only elementary consideration for the reader to
provide a context which is logical and reasonable. I read from left to right and I also read from
top to bottom. Hence the reason for bottom posting. Why make it difficult for the reader to
    acquire context?

I do agree with you that for very long messages one should do a bit of editing so the reader is not
wading though the same old text when all you are doing is responding to just a small part of the
message. But this would be true for top posting as well as bottom posting.

I am always just trying to make things easier for the reader. Arrogance has nothing to do with it.
All I was doing really was just throwing some of Doug's venom back at him. Trust me on this, we
    [censored] understand one another perfectly.

    Regards,

    Ed Dolan - Minnesota
