Just joined this site, so... Hey everyone!
I'm just getting into the whole road cycling thing... Still going on shorter 50 km rides (sorry to those who do miles, I'm in Europe and am used to kilometers:p) But I have done a few good climbs , probably about 4 kms of uphill...
This is mainly just an introduction, I hope to asking alot of questions here when I have them. Right now my first question is... is there such a thing as being too light in cycling?
Because I am a 6'1" male that weighs about 128 or so pounds (58.5 kilos) and I know that is way below what the body mass index charts say is normal... but I'm perfectly healthy, love sports, no energy problems... I just have a fast metabolism, lol.😄 It bugs my friends... I have to try real hard to gain instead of lose...
I just got a new (to me, used off of ebay) specialized s-works e5 2006 silver ano bike. I love it, I know I probably don't need it just yet, but it was a great price and I figure I can grow into it instead of buying a bike that is more my level now then going for another one like this one later.
So if you want to skim that all real quick, here you go:
Hi, and am I too light? 😉
