What is the lowest gear inch that I can have with a Rohloff- internal gear hub?
I use 17.6gi for climbing hills and some times need even lower gears. I want to build the ultimate commuter bike and tired of dealing with external gears.
Perhaps there is something better to use? Does Schlumpf have a rear hub to match their crank gears?

What wheel size are you using? A 26 x 1.5 teamed with a 38t chainring, and a 16t sprocket, making as low an input ratio as Rohloff will sanction, will give you a 16.5 in low gear. That's pretty low. I'm using that gear combo on my Surly Big Dummy with 26x1.75 tires. Any slower, you would have to put a mark on the pavement to see if you were moving.
