  1. Went overboard cooking... made enough food to feed 100 and only about a dozen showed up...

    Made Thai Red Curry Schnicken cooked with red potatoes... carrots... shiitake and porcini
    mushrooms... in a savory red curry coconut milk gravy... and barbecued some chicken with my secret
    sauce... garnished with caramelized onion, scallion and red chilies... and finally some jasmine and
    basmati rice with eastern seasoning...

    Most people went for the carved ham... but it's the thought that counts...

    that sounds yummy! we had a cooking contest at my work (i work at a 'natural foods' supermarket) and
    i won second place for my chili. i made a frightening amount of it, and there was only about 3 cups
    left by the end of the day 🙂. the woman who won the top prize made this fantastic creamy kugel. i
    have to get the recipe from her :>
