I am 34 years old, in good health and have been diagnosed with Proxyismal (sp?) Atrial Flutter. I
get the palpitations every morning from 6 am until about 8:30am for 10 to 20 seconds apiece and
total time I have them is usually no more than 2 minutes. I've been getting them on and off for a
number of months and think this has been happening for a few years. My blood pressure is fine, the
echo cariogram and stress echo I had both show that structurally the heart is fine. I work out 3 or
4 times a week, weight is OK. Cholesterol is a little elevated. The cariologist has me on Coumadin
and Toprol
XL. He has not put any restrictions on what I do. I am scheduled to see an EP in a couple weeks.
Any idea what he'll suggest for treatment of this? Will he try to treat it with medication or
do an ablation? I have no idea what the triggers are but it is usually every morning between 6
and 8:30 or so then nothing the rest of the day/night.

That would depend on him.
