missed that the first time I watched it - Boonen gesturing wildly, first he gets thrown off by Weylandts clipping his wheel from behind (then crashing), then apparently Boonen was blocked by Eeckhout (hence the gesturing from Boonen). Just not poor Tommeke's day. And, I think that's the first pro win for Roelandts - Lotto has a few good sprinters (him and Van Avermaet who led him out today and finished 4th) coming up the ranks for when McEwen leaves/retires...

I dont think Van Avermaet led out Roelants.
I think Van Avermaet went long, he realised he was in the wind, and he could stall and get swamped and finish tenth, or he could try a long one.
He went long, which benefited his teammate who happened to be on his wheel.

the initial report I read suggested Van Avermaet led him out ... but then again, I haven't seen any reaction from GVA (sporza has comments from a bunch of others), so maybe GVA isn't talking because he's disappointed...
