Ok, I am working the isle of wight festival on unicycle, and after being in the local fancy dress shop, I have decided it'd be a laugh to go to the festival on saturday as an animal. Because I'm a lanky git, there is little that would fit me, so my choices are: Chicken, Crocodile, Flamingo, and I think there was an Elephant.
The chosen animal will be on a 5ft giraffe unicycle, so which one do you think will have more comedy value?
At first glance, I thought elephant read 'eggplant' for some reason. That would indeed be funny. I voted flamingo, but I can't picture what a flamingo outfit would look like.
Dress as a flamingo, use a girraffe uni. You'd be the body and the tall uni will be the long leg with a wheel at the end. Can't get much sillier than that.
It's not the costume, it's what you do with it. Can't really make a judgment without seeing the actual costumes, but whichever one you can use to make the funniest movements should be your choice.

I think bird costumes are inherently funny, so I'd definitely opt for one of the birds. I'd go for the chicken and wouldn't try to make the giraffe part of the costume. I'd find a chicken perched on top of a giraffe unicycle far funnier than a flamingo with the unicycle as part of the costume.
One good reason to choose the chicken over the flamingo is that for comedy, you want to avoid looking graceful. Flamingoes are much more graceful birds than chickens.
I think a chicken. I have chickens and they are funny, because they're so stupid. Shame you couldn't get a giraffe costume, that would be good, a giraffe on a giraffe!?!
