Removing brake studs

I had a '02 Duke, so I'm assuming it would work the same way...mine were definitely screwed in. If
at the base of the stud, where it is largest, you see two parallel straight edges, then that's where
you turn your wrench. IIRC.

If they do screw out, hold on to them. RS uses a smaller diameter stud than everyone else, so you
may need them in the future.

You may want to heat them a bit to soften the thread locking compound. Mine were very tight and
required quite a bit of torque all the way out.

Thanks, that was the trick: vise, heat and brute force. That is some *serious* loctite they use.

They're screwed in with a threadlock compound. Heat until is is uncomfortable to your fingers (about
180F) and they will unscrew easily.
