I was also on a Coker with 110s and Mike beat me by 45 seconds overall. He beat John by 54 seconds - very close between the 3 of us (although of course we all started at different times). It was a little scary hearing Mike crash right behind me! Photos to follow I'm sure.
I'd recommend knee/leg protection in addition to the obvious head and hand/wrist for the race, especially if you are going geared. Mike couldn't tell what caused him to crash - he just went down.
Hey mike, that's awesome! I know I couldn't hold that kind of speed geared up with 125s. If I'm faster at all on the hills you rode (and i'd be surprised), it's not by much. Climbing/rollers hurt me, and I'd be on 150s!
Woot for finding something that works well, though, good job! It must be really nice to be able to climb steeper grades with a good amount of speed in low gear with the short cranks.
