I think their the same really. But yeah trials for seat out because you
can do more technical stuff and cause you can get as high as you can
when doing a rolling hop.
Rolling hop for street because its smoother, you can apply it to gaps
and long jumps. And of course its the building blocks to tricks onto
something.
But in terms of height over a bar I think their exactly the same,
personal preferance, therefore I don't think there should be a diffrent
comp for rolling or side. Onto a ledge it could be a diffrent story. I
always thought sidehop over a bar was harder then rolling hop.
But those are just my views mainly because all the best riders in NZ
are rolling hoppers and they've been my role models.
