  1. Hello

Since 3 weeks I'm suffering of a shoulder pain. It's not really
painfull, but when it comes out to gym class for example, I may have to
do some push-ups and then it hurts.

The shoulder that hurts is on the arm I use for SI while unicycling (I
use left arm for seat out and right arm for seat in)

As anyone ever had a similar experience?

  2. Same thing here, I didn't start noticing it until I stretched my arm
after a ride and suddenly my whole arm was numb. Its not a really bad
pain but its just a really really unpleasant one. I think its just a
pulled muscle in the top of my shoulder. I'm taking a week and a bit
off until I get my uni's back from the shop and I'm hoping it should be
    better by that time.

  3. I've got it too. It's been hurting for almost a year now (almost as
long as I've been riding). It is also my seat holding shoulder and
really started hurting when I was learning SIF riding. I'm sure mine
is compounded by lugging around my 40 lb 2 year old all day. It really
hurts if I bail forward landing on my hands and knees, almost
unbearable. I've done 6 months of PT and been to the shoulder doc
several times and have decided to just live with it. I'm just too
active to be able to not do anything that involves my shoulder.

  5. I have also had this as alot of people will have.I found that i would
usually pull a muscle right down my shoulder blade if i do too much
hopping in one day.I dont get it as much now and i have tried to change
my technique so that i dont wrench the seat so much.Try to change your
technique so that you flow more with hops si or sif.It helped me so
    hopefully it will help you.

  8. I have old shoulders that have had a fair bit os surgery, plus three
dislocations (forget hang gliding, stick with unicycling - the crashes
    aren't so bad).

I find that the action of pulling up as I climb has to be combined at
some point with an inward rotation while still under some load. I
suspect that that is what gives me grief at the shoulder and further
down the arm from the resulting pressure on nerve.

But I gotta keep practicing that freemount, no matter what. 🙄
