Left-leaning groups are STEADFASTLY against any death penalty,
regardless of
the way it is administered (UNTIL! It was their spouse/ family member
murdered by said piece of [censored]!!)
Wow, a post without the word watch in the subject line. Off topic
but.....
No mystery here; it's the difference between objective reasoning and
subjective involvement. It's a very human failing and is the reason why
it's not wise for judges to judge people with whom they are personally
involved.
Wedgewood-Benn was a proponent of public educational reform in the UK
which did away with so-called class distinction between Grammar schools
and regular secondary schools. No need to guess which kind of school he
sent his kids. Some may view it as hypocrisy.

This could be construed as being totally consistent by some. The living
have more tangible rights that need to be protected versus the dead
(murder victims) or those not yet born (aborted fetus).
Of course, this isn't my view but it's one that could be argued as
having some semblance of logical reasoning behind it.
