What a jackass.
Evans made this comment despite knowing Landis' appeal before CAS is
still pending. What happens if Landis is found not guilty?
For a professional cyclist like Evans to effectively say he 'doesn't
care' what the CAS ruling will be is testimony to Evan's stupidity and
his total lack of understanding of what due process means.
This is the same cyclist who when asked another time about doping he
will undoubtedly say he wants due process to be followed.
Another moron pro cyclist with an IQ of 76.

Maybe the Aussies just dont like Floyd. Here's a quote from Stuart
O'Grady from Landis' Wikipedia page:
Fellow professional and 10 time Tour de France cyclist, Australian
Stuart O'Grady, left no doubt as to his view in an interview for the
Australian 60 Minutes program televised on 22 July 2007. The reporter
Liz Hayes asked O'Grady: "Would anyone have picked that -- that the
winner of last year's race was a drug cheat?" O'Grady replied:
"I would have, because I was there with him that day when he was in
that breakaway. I was actually 13 minutes ahead of him and he caught
us on his own and then he basically rode us all off the wheel..... I
thought that was impossible, what he did. I'm not a bad bike rider
and, you know, he made me look like a little kid."

Yeah - that's the new WADA test...if "you can ride Stuart O'Grady off
your wheel, it means you're positive."
If you look at O'Grady's results over the years, that also means he
thinks Armstrong was a doper and about 50 other pros. How come he
doesn't say that too - why just Landis?
Another stupid cyclist quote.

on ... taking only water and gels from the team car ... come on!! he

Let's cover this correctly:
Firstly, the peloton was riding pretty slowly because of the previous
day's stage. Landis didn't RACE away from them but instead rode at a
good pace away from them with his team. Several good riders went with
him but you could see that they didn't want to ride that hard that
early in a stage and dropped back and the pack simply CRAWLED along.
As for the breakaway group - they were quite obviously getting tired
and I believe that all of them but Sinkowitz was caught by the
peloton.
Landis got noticeably slower as the stage wore on but he never bonked.
And he was never really flying - that was the amazing part about it.
He was riding well but not super and the pack simply didn't believe he
would hold up that long and didn't chase him until late in the race
and at that point they turned the wick up and closed down on him
rapidly. What's more several riders went off the front of the pack and
were going significantly faster than Landis.
If the peloton hadn't let him get that large a lead in the first place
he would never have won. It was a perfect example of stupidity in the
peloton and NOT a super performance by Landis.

dumbass,
what about when landis's hemoglobin jumped from 15.5 to 16.1 g/dL and
his hematocrit jumped from 44.8 to 48.2 (when the legal limits are 17
and 50) after the rest day ?
is that also considered NOT superhuman ?

A 44.8 to 48.2 hematocrit jump a week into a stage race is a definitive
sign of motorcycles with refrigerated panniers parking behind the hotel
service entrance.

He's quoting from Ashenden's expert testimony in the Landis case.
Ashenden is the guy who invented the blood doping transfusion test that
nailed Tylenol.

I had followed the Tour all the way from Normandy. On that day I was so

packed up and went home.
I said what I thought to two guys on the ferry who hadn't been on that
stage but thought he was clean as the driven snow. All this before the
news broke.

Good for you Dan. All i have is the DVD of the race (yeh, the long
version) which I confess i've watched 7,000 times now, and what i
remember is listening to Phil and Paul talk about what an "epic,"
"historic" ride Floyd was doing and how that day would go down in TdF
history.
It's a great dvd ... chock full of doper performances: kessler 'roid
ragin to the finish of TWO CONSECUTIVE stages (winning one of them),
Rasmussen and Gonchar hammering for kilometer after kilometer on the
front of the field in mountain stages like diesel engines, stinkewitz
stapled to floyd's clearly "enhanced" wheel on the big day, and kloden
with his form yo-yoing as they try to get his blood right in the
mountains ....
a real classic.

yeah a 200km ITT in the mountains at 37+ kph

Ashendon never testified in the Landis case.
All of Landis's blood values are completely in the range of normal
variation, especially if you compute the off-score. The rise in Hct
is not surprising between the pre-tour check and the rest day
following the first week of little racing work for a GC rider.

A 48.2 hematocrit is not normal in any way, shape, or form, 7 days into
a stage race if you start off with a 44.8. A 1-day rest day would not
be enough to change that.
Hematocrit doesn't ride during a stage race, no matter how little racing
he does. A 4 hour flat stage might be easy for a GC rider, but not easy
enough to increase one's hematocrit.
It's pretty obvious the guy was auto-transfusing, which he learned at
Postal and Phonak.
Ashendon might not have testified in the Landis case, but he made
comments about it.

dumbass,
of course it's "within the range of normal variation", because that's
how the legal parameters are defined. anyone who is doping (properly)
will be sure to be within those parameters.
Quoted message said:The rise in Hct

no, the 10% rise in hematocrit from pre-race to post-rest day IS VERY
surprising.
but it doesn't prove anything, just like photos of sevilla in madrid
and faxes from haven hamilton to fuentes don't prove anything, because
there isn't an effective test for autologous blood doping.
