They defend their cult at all costs. Everyone who uses epistomologies or believes in realities

But people who are devoid of ethics are quite rare (alas, they are not extinct). Sure, scientists
can be as blinkered as anyone else, and they can have their pet ideas and theories and hang onto
them like grim death. Scientists are still human beings, with all the frailties thereof. But their
ideas and theories and data and evidence must be presented for all to see, and others can try to
reproduce the evidence. If they can't, the theory may go down the drain. That's where science parts
company with religion.

You have to start somewhere. And if the other "ways of knowing" are not transferrable, they aren't
science, either. I've seen stuff while doing meditation that I can't explain in any sort of
rational, scientific way except via coincidence or self-delusion or something, but it's been
nonetheless useful and helpful to me. (And no, I am not going to go into greater detail about it.)
