My contact lenses seem to be much clearer since I've been using it to store them at night.

Very good results. I've PR'd in my Tri's and in bike races. I used it for 6 months last year and
will use it again next year. Great stuff!!

  4. I can't see how it could do anything. In fact, I'll go on record saying this stuff is such a bunch
of [censored] that anyone who buys it thinking it will do anything almost (almost) deserves getting
    ripped off.

Seriously, though, this stuff is garbage and I hope you guys stay clear of this stuff. CH

I've done quite a bit of searching the online scientific journals (sports med, phyisology, sports
science, etc) and there really hasn't been any real definitive studies to show performance benefits
by rhodiola and cordyceps (the primary "special" ingredients). The consensus among my sports med
profs was that it's just another anti-oxident. Although some studies do show initial promising
results, they all end by saying further, more detailed studies are required. That said, all the
anecdotal evidence sounds encouraging. So it's hard to say.

Spend yer money and takes yer chances.

How does it compare with sticking a caffeine suppository up your ass ?

  7. The placebo effect can be very powerful. Besides, how could any of these people plugging this stuff
really know it worked. Perhaps, they focused more on training and rest while they took it, or
changed their diet too. There's no telling what else they did.

  8. Rodale press is publishing an entire book on the benefits of Rhodiola. Rhodiola was patented for
it's ability to all the body utilize oxygen more efficiently.

This information is on the www.firstendurance.com web site

    LeeZ-

Although I know a lot of people who sing the praises of this stuff, your "evidence" is pretty poor.
Going to the site of the company that sells the stuff as the source of info is usually a _bad_ idea.

Also - how do you patent an herb?

  11. Well, I won't respond to the judgments that are put out there but I
will say that I do believe in the product as do other atheltes, top
coaches and exercise physiologists. If you have never used a product
then how can you judge it. Try using it and testing yourself and then
you'll be able to make a smart and prudent evaluation. Here's a link
to some other leaders in the endurance sports world that support it:

    This is very true.

All through history, people have attempted to prove things. Math, logic, scientific method, and already-
proven facts all get blown away in the face of the ultimate question

    HAVE YOU USED IT YOURSELF

Cyanide in tylenol? How can one know? a bottle full of visine? You just can't be sure.

Unless you have tried these things, how can you judge?

Personally ingesting things is definitely the gold standard.

Oooo, carefully researched by two mountain bikers and a tri-geek.
If some company was giving me enough sponsorship money to buy my EPO, I would tell the whole world that it was their product that made me great, too.

  15. Rodale press is one of the main benefactors behind the Lehigh Valley Velodrome, past and present.
aka T-Towne. The have a good sized, and highly competent research staff. They are not the National
    Enquirer of Health Publications.

  16. Pay me enough money and I'll endorse anything Tony Little sells. Does that mean the guys not a
    whack? No.

I'd like for these scientists to endorse this [censored] at a scientific meeting. The fact is, I
don't needto try it to know its garbage. Besides, why wasn't Festina using it? (they used
    everything else).
