  1. I got this idea from doing various strength routines on a stationary bike.

    The idea....

A stationary bike with a normal brake and flywheel but with an additional cam wheel that turned once every six pedal strokes.

A specified and variable weight is lifted by the cam.

The effect is an increase in resistance every sixth pedal stroke, which then falls away and returns every sixth stroke.

The idea is to really challenge the recruited muscles with an ongoing fluctuating load.

Fluctuating so as to maintain a manageable heart rate.

Every six pedal strokes so as to maintain a specified cadence.

What do your think, dumb idea or lets build one ?
