  1. Hello. I can't change my pedals. The pedal is stuck on there, and steel
ring where you put pedals on is half unglued, it turns. I don't know
    really how to explain this....

What do I need to do?

Theres a tool that many bike shops have that tightens that ring. I
suppose your best bet would be to first tighten that ring.

Dude, the same thing's happening to me, I just supposed I'm retarded
and screwed them into a level where the part got stripped, this is good
news if the bike shop can get them off...

One pedal is treaded to the right, the other is treaded to the left.
Try turning the wrench the other direction. You may have been
tightening the one that is stuck.

  10. If you can/when you get the inserts out apply a load of good locktight
so it doesnt ever hapen again. My inserts loosened so I just spun them
out and slapped aload of locktight on them. I have swapped my pedals
loads since and havnt had the slightest of problems.

To tighten the locking ring I didnt use any proper tool, I had a couple
of spokes which fitted in snugly then I gripped them with some plyers
and I was able to do them up realy tight. One thing that makes it alot
esier is to do it when you have your crank off, it makes it loads
easier because you dont have the wheel and spokes in the way.

  11. I have never seen a pedal needing a hammer to be removed.

I use one of those 5" long 5/8" open ended wrenches, works every time.

Just stand on the wrench instead of hammering it.

Hammering on things ruins it, unless it's a rubber mallet.

Those stupid metal inserts should be splined so they don't ever spin.

  19. Emile that happened to me, I thought it was stuck there forever. But I
went to a bike shop and he got a pedal taker offerer and got it off
with a lot of strength, it was really difficult and we thought we'd
break it because the metal insert was spinning like yours but it's OK
you just need some elbow grease.
