when i read the item it seemed to me like vaughters was talking about
a team vaughters himself was on.

to be a team doctor. I was on a team... I won't say which, where the
team doctor was a psychiatrist! And Anne said that it was a really

Yeah, the open and close quote marks can really be confusing.

As far as the team doctor being a psychiatrist, that doesn't mean that
they had no training/experience in other areas.
