  1. Everywhere I turn. Velo News cover story. Cycling News features. WTF?
They are the new face of clean cycling? Okay. Whatever.

But has Vaughters answered the question about his own experiences?
I heard references to him during the whole Andreu sword-swallowing
    but nothing concrete.

Guys like Zabel and Riis gave what I believe are partial admissions
but I'd really like to hear if this vanguard of the clean cycling
movement has said anything on the matter regarding his time
    as a professional cyclist.

    Please inform me.

    Thanks,
    BS55

in the IM he says he played around with the hot sauce, which is what i
like to put on my chipotle burritos as well.

what i'd like to know about is the new business model of pro cycling
teams like slipstream and high road that exist without promoting a
    naming sponsor.

you could put astana into this group as well.

I agree that the IM was incriminating but it was evidence in
a trial and JV has never, to my knowledge, discussed it
in any way in a public forum.

Just because it's true doesn't mean Vaughters would want to invite a
    lawsuit.

High Road has $20 million in the team account from a severance agreement
with T-Mobile. Stapleton will pocket most of that profit. Stapleton
was never qualifid to run a cycling team to begin with and the only
reason he got that job as a walk-in was because of corporate nepotism
with T-Mobile. Once this cash runs out you will never hear of Stapleton
again. He was a one-trick pony with T-Mobile and during his tenure as a
supposedly anti-doping team owner here's his actual C.V.:

    - hired Aldag, a confessed doper, to run the men's team
    - hired Millward as women's team D.S. - a rider who tested positive
    - hired 2 doctors from the Freiberg clinic to administrate his team's
supposed anti-doping program only to find out they were doping cartel
    kingpins
    - hires Sergay Hontchar despite his obvious doping
    - hires Hincapie - a chronic doper according to Stephanie McIlvain
    - has Sinkabitch tests positive during Staplehead's Tour tenure and then
turns around and says he would consider rehiring him just because he
    confessed.
    - while overseeing T-Mobile women's team, Neben tested positive despite
several high-profile cases previous to hers about the dangers of
    supplemental contamination.

I'm sure I left out a few more doping radar returns.

But this is the guy who gets the cover of Velonews as cycling's
    anti-doping genius?

    PUH-LEEZ.

First of all, if you're gonna talk about Junior Varsity in here, please
refer to him as Anorexic Drew Carey.

Vaughters doesn't want to confess because there's an 8 year statute of
limitations and doing so will bode bad for soliciting future sponsors.

Anorexic Drew Carey and Slipstream are based in Boulder and so is
Velonews. So it's very easy to mate.

Also, when you put Taylor Phinney on that team, apparently people in
Boulder think that is like Lance Armstrong's successor or something.

This whole Slipstream thing is gonna implode. Once Doug Ellis gets
tired of writing million dollar checks into a bottomless pit of an
"investment" and the team finds it can't get a sponsor, then you might
stand a better chance of reading a real article.

But right now, in cycling, Anorexic Drew Carey and Slipsemen are the new
    Britney Spears of cycling.

That's what all this hype is about. I would imagine when Danielson gets
3rd in a stage at the Giro, they'll put him on the cover too.

If USADA can test B samples after negative A samples, a statute of
    limitations means nothing.

Here is an quote from the ESPN article on Slipstream, so nobel of JV
    makes me want to puke.

Finally, there is Vaughters, who has all but admitted he took
performance-enhancing drugs, but will not cross the line into specific
    confession.
Vaughters says he is beyond WADA's statute of limitations, but won't
discuss details of his own past because of other people it involves.
He contends his experience helps him understand the forces at work in
the peloton and sift sincerity from hypocrisy. If his tightrope act
isn't enough for critics, Vaughters says that's just too bad. His
first priority now is to figure out how to make this diverse
    collection of riders mesh.

Same guy that figured out how to get a hall pass from UCI because is
HC level was "naturally" high because he lived at altitude.

    dumbass,

vaughters gets kudos all around for 'developing riders', but when it's
time to go euro-pro he simply signs established protour riders.

what do you think their giro roster will look like ? vandevelde,
    zabriskie, millar ...

a third of last year's team was let go, yet apparently there is no
pressure to dope on this team because performance doesn't matter.

Well, I think, as I said, that Vaughters doesn't want to burn any
bridges in public, but let me just start spreading a rumor which I think
fits the Standard rbr Theory anyways: he moved to Credit Agricole to
experience a different philosophy of how bike racing should be done.

I don't know why I think these things. I'm just a nerd in Port Moody who
eats too much and trains too little. I have no contacts in the upper
echelons of cycling, except that one time when Alison Sydor fondled my
    shark hat.

    Which was pretty funny,

Thanks for the info OMC. I now believe he is cycling's new Jesus.

By the way, JV's "naturally high hematocrit" must have accounted
for his 56:50 ride up Ventoux in 1999. Faster than Pantani,
faster than Lance and faster than anyone else in history
until Mayo eclipsed it in 2004 with a 55:51.

The new face of clean cycling. GO SLIPSTREAM!!!

Hold on, Assocamerestero and Snamprogetti are about to come aboard and take this
    team to the next level.

Rumor has it Vaughters is going to have Stephano Righini and Carlo Galeazzi of Azimut
    Yachts
take one of Jonkceere's 13 meter Arrow 50 Volvo B40 coachs just like the ol team Discovery
