Just got a road bike and plan on doing a couple overnight trips this spring/summer. Have never done it (do it in kayaks alot) on a bike, do people use baskets/bags/racks, i have no idea. Probably do B&B so wont be carrying tent etc, but clothes and probably her hair drier.

Does your raod bike have threaded drop-out eylets for mounting the bottom of the rack? Are there threaded bosses on the tops of the chain-stays?
If not, there are solutions, but it helps to know ahead of time.
