  1. Three quarterbacks, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, and Tom Brady, go to
    heaven
to visit God and watch the Celtics play a game. God decides who will
sit next to him by asking the boys a question...

God asks Peyton Manning first: "What do you believe?" Peyton thinks
    long
and hard, looks God in the eye, and says, "I believe in hard work,
    and
    in
staying true to family and friends. I believe in giving. I was lucky,
    but I
always tried to do right by my fans." God can't help but see the
    essential
goodness of Manning, and offers him a seat to his left.

Then God turns to Brett Favre and says, "What do you believe?" Brett
    says,
"I believe passion, discipline, courage and honor are the
    fundamentals
    of life.
I, too, have been lucky, but win or lose, I've always tried to be a
    true
sportsman, both on and off the playing fields." God is greatly moved
    by
Favre's sincere eloquence, and he offers him a seat to his right.

Finally, God turns to Tom Brady: "And you, Tom, what do you believe?"
    Tom
replies, "I believe you're in my seat."

Steve DeBerg is still alive and better than what you've got now. Still
remember him playing with that wrecked hand in that huge brace/cast

  8. Fatty Masters should root for the Packers. All Fatty Masters
    worship Brett Favre.

Fatty Masters Haters should root for the Packers. Because Brett
Favre shows how silly it is to have special geezer competitions
    for 30 year olds.

I hear everyone that reads this group is a leftie. You should
all root for the Packers, the only major sports franchise in
the US based on a socialist model of ownership.

Three of the remaining teams are from solidly blue states. The
one exception is the Packers, based in a swing state. The few
token righties should root for the Packers.

Bagel lovers should root for the Giants. If you are in Green
Bay and want an Ess-A-Bagel, tough [censored] for you.

model of ownership as much as they are a model of religion

What do you mean "don't win the SB"?

Giants are very good. I watched them dry gulch the cowboys.

A boa constrictor does not squeeze the life out of prey.
It simply ratchets in every millimeter the prey gives up.
    Patriots all the way.

Heh ..... Living in Ft Worth and listening to all the media hype pre and
post this game was a hoot. I personally won a small fortune on the
outcome of that game. I am not a Giants fan at all, but the fact that
the Cowboys beat them previously matters not a whit. What really does
matter is that fact the The Cowboys defense gave up 8 penalties. Two
which resulted in TD's. The Coach is a supposedly defensive specialist
and somehow didn't address this at all during the season where it
happened all too often. All the [censored] in Texas were too busy planning
their Super Bowl tailgate parties to take notice of the fact that at 13
and 3, at least (two) of those victories could have been defeats <lol>

Cowboys fans are probably glad NY beat GB as it helps assuage their pain
at not getting a chance to play them. And the NY-GB game was pretty
entertaining and NY deserves the Win. But *if* they beat NE then the
[censored] here will be moaning that Da BoyZ could beat 'em too and I just
    couldn't handle that !

PS: Dry Gulch ...... appropriate turn of phrase. Or Bushwacked <g>

The Packers had to give the game away 3 or 4 times before
the Giants finally took it. As this was going on I was
thinking that neither team would last long at all against
