  1. Philly area Triathletes- Email NBC10 and let them know that we don't appreciate them screwing up the
Ironman coverage with repeat interruptions of the local weather. We've seen enough weather already.

  2. OK dave, I'll get right on that!

  3. That was some quick wit. Only a week late. You're on the ball like usual.

When I saw the subject I thought an IM had come to Philly and b/c there aer so many WTC events these
days that I hadn't even realized it
    - ha.

All I could think of Sunday morning when they were announcing they caught Hussein was how Channel 6
must have been bumming that they wouldn't be able to do their all day storm of the century weather
reporting. How DARE a little thing like that ruin their nonstop weather coverage - the NERVE. Are
other cities as ridiculous as Philly - they pre-empt EVERYTHING (even Oprah - ha) to report the same
old stuff over and over and over and over again. Oh and this is somewhat tri related b/c the one
channel 6 meteorologist, Cecily Tynan, is a tri/duathlete...not that she woulda been reporting on a
    Sunday morn anyhow.

Yeah, she beat me at Madison (along with many other people).

In the Twin Cities one year, they kept interrupting the NBA finals one year to tell us that
"Dangerous thunderstorms are approaching, so make sure you go inside." All I could think was, "How
many people are watching the NBA finals on TV *outside*?"

My experience is that there are few events worth actually pre-empting a TV show for; most events
could be covered via a ticker across the bottom of the screen and instructions for where to turn for
more coverage if you give a flying rat's ass.
