  1. 6 weeks ago I obtained an ac seperation (playing football) in my left shoulder which requires me to
abstain from swimming for awhile, which is no problem, right? Until I find out from my Dr. that I
also have a strss fracture in my right leg, which I think I got at my last tri in September. Right
now the only thing I can do is float, i.e. "Total Immersion" excerises up and down the pool, and am
gredually able to integrate minimal arm movements each day. My question is this: am I sentenced to
the pool for the duration of the off-season? Anyone else go through this?

Have you looked into Aqua Jogging? It can be a decent workout when one is injured, even when
not. I'm also not sure why you wouldn't be able to do some cycling with a stress fracture.
I'm not real sure about the in and outs of stress fractures so maybe not.

  3. Thanks Matt, I'll look into that. Have an MRI this afternoon so I will soon be restructuring my
workout schedule based on complete findings.
