Are you serious? No.

If anyone decides to include a Paypal link, I would like it to be
top-posted, so I will know not to read on. It's not that I'm cheap--I think

The ones who would be likely to include such a link are unlikely to
remain unplonked.

That's just my opinion, and it's probably not even worth the two cents

It goes against the whole "information wants to be free" philosophy
that is still the basis of Usenet. (I cut my teeth in warez groups)

Pardon my ideologising but I just returned from a "Free Geek"
volunteer appreciation party.

I think Usenet advice is forever rewarded on a karmic basis.

their personally-perceived martyrdom, and who would therefore actually
enjoy it if things were going wrong for them more often; it would
validate their world view, after all. (Naming names would simply
gratify them even more, in that case.)

I believe the Amish and the Inuits (and doubtless there are others
with similar approaches) know best what to do with a troll.
