Alternatively, build some decent wheels.

Quite a few, I suspect. It's just because the wheel was laced with
second-rate ones to begin with, and I wanted to test the longevity of
the on-the-road-replacement Z-spokes.

Turns out it's the less than ideal dialup combined with BT's site

Sorry about that. I probably should have mentioned that the page is
about 1.5MB in total. It also seems to be down at the moment,

I mapped the Buchan -> Jindabyne leg that I participated in. Check
the elevation for day two, the climb from about 38km to 55km was truly
horrendous. My knees finally packed up completely about 8km from
Jindabyne and I could barely walk, never mind cycle. Left knee
recovered fairly quickly but my right knee is still rooted, turns out
I ruptured my posterior cruciate ligament some years ago which
apparently doesn't help matters considering all the other play in that
joint.
