I'm trying to find out some info on the Scott Genius bikes but havent found any independant advice. mtbreview.com doesn't have any 2004 models available for review yet.
If anybody has actually ridden one of these and is willing to give some comments please send them on to me.
BTW: I'm looking for a trail bike to do an 8 day stage race next year (see www.cape-epic.com).

Thanks - yes had seen that one - its the first hit Google finds on Scott Genius and Review. It is a good article but I'd still like to hear comments from people that own one of these and have put it through more than 2 short rides.
From what I can see it doesn't look like Scott sell their bikes in the US? Is that true and ifso for what reason?
you are right - i hardly see Scott featured in US bike mags. It's much more popular in Europe. As for the lack of reviews, i guess it's because the bikes are still not widely available. I live in Singapore and I am told the bikes will arrive by Christmas. I am trying to decide between the Scott Genius and the Santa Cruz Blur (frame only) and am trying to find user reviews as well. The UK forum sites will be a better bet.
In case you missed, it BikeMagic also has details of the Scott 2004 range:-
I believe Scott is no longer sold in the US. They have no dealers in US anymore. You might have a hard time finding reviews of them in US mags or at MTBR as a result.
Notice that in the Scott webpage there are no bike products under the USA Products section of the, only in the European section. The bike division I think is now based in Europe.
