I am interested in start riding and want to buy a bike appropiate for my size I am 5:2 and overweight. Any suggestions?

Hi Ellie. You need to go to a competent bike store and explain what type of riding you will be doing. They should fit you to a proper bike size and type.If they try steering you to one certain model that doesn't seem right to you, thank them and try a different store.You will also enjoy riding more with the correct clothing (padded shorts/tights), gloves and a helmet.You could also see if there is a bike club in your area with slow paced rides for you to start with.Good luck and enjoy riding.
