MI5 spam?

okay), unless I know I'm going to get the M15 guy out of my
newsgroups.

Well...MI5? its a good costume...i dont have any of his posts so i cant
look at the headders, maybe he's a Brit wannabee and has MI5 after him
in his paranoid conspiracy theory instead of the CIA.

I use Outlook Express. Once you block a sender, he is gone. Be sure to
block the bleachbot also or you see that stuff.

Many of us hadn't noticed him before, so we were wondering who he was
and what burr was under his saddle (if he wasn't trolling). Now we
know.

I blocked him ages ago. Might have had to do it a few times. Haven't seen

Netscape stopped providing the combo browser/email/newsreader long ago,
so far as I know. The current versions (8.0 and above) have only the web
browser. It's about the same thing as "Firefox", but with some Netscape
branding added. For the stand-alone email newsgroup reader, they have
"Thunderbird".
The combo browser / reader was first renamed "Mozilla Suite", and later
"Seamonkey".
It has a very good email filter system, but a poor newsgroup reader
filter. I've set my version of Seamonkey to mark all newsgroup posts
having "MI5" in the subject line as already read. That's about the best
it can do.

I just sliced up some leftover corned beef to make a Reuben sandwich.

he's usually sending under the same author name. i blocked that, and
then no problem. outlook express must have *some* filtering ability.

No offense, but your suggestion is worth about half of two cents. You can
complain all day long to the guys internet provider or whoever, and nothing
will happen. Absolutely nothing.

I used to file complaints. Really depends on what the person did. But most
of the time, complaints are not taken seriously.

According to tawk I've seen on nanae - news.announce.net.abuse.email
the MI - 5 troll has had several Usenet accounts terminated...looks
like it's back...

I have it filtered out on OE, so it only bothers me on Google
Froups...

Try the IE add-on for those problems.

I find very few pages lately that don't respond to FF and most of them
respond to the IE add-on. Some websites are (still) so bullheadedly
IE - that you HAVE to use it..... if your interest in it is high
enough to go through the trouble of switching over. Mainly, I just
say "forget it" when push comes to shove.
