I don't know what to make of this because he also accurately named the last five internet sites
that I'd visited and the proper order. On the other hand, I don't go to anywhere weird or uncommon
and I don't think it would be much of a stretch to guess that I'd been to cyclingnews.com, yahoo,
Probikekit or the others.
What he did have to say about a couple of the more "common" members was interesting. I won't name
names since I don't know if this guy is all BS or not. But you really do know who you are if you
are the one's he's talking about.
He also said that he was toying with the idea of sending information to the FBI which seems
rediculous on the surface but then again perhaps our [censored] posting friends are a bit weirder than
I'd given them credit for.
Anyway, I would suggest that you get some programs that would clean spyware off of your system. I
erased all of the cookies and a couple of suspicious programs but none of it looked like something
that this guy could use. But some of those cookies were really big files that had just been
changed so I don't know.

I have tired a number of the spyware removers. You might be interested to know that some of them
install spyware of there own. The free Ad Aware is good, but cross check your log results against
other spy removal tools to get a idea of what seems to bring the best results. Be aware to back up
your registry files and be familiar with safe mode for troubleshooting in case it trashes something
important in the registry. Also consider using the Evidence Eliminator to clean up even further
remnants of your drive that trojans and other bugs like to sniff around in. Once port sniffers lock
onto a unsecured Windows box, sky is the limit so another compelling option for securing inbound and
outbound potentially malicious packets is to set up a non-windows firewall. A very good option is to
set up a Linux gateway cheap with Tiny Firewall, Bastille, Snort and Probe. I use an old Pentium 100
for the gateway with Mandrake, works great. Not one Virus or Trojan in 2 years. With Windows
previously it was like World War 3. Also a hardware option is to back up all your important data on
an External USB-2 hardrive. That way you can simply unplug the USB drive from the USB hub and just
as easily plug it back in, (hotswap) These should be more then enough to make you rest easy. But
according to your header, funnier then ever, it's really quite serious for anyone with important
data or anyone who doesn't like the port patrols. Also consider if your connection is hot all the
time, or just add up how many hours you are online each week, and build your security based on that.
