OK, sorry for the smart-ass response. So, you wanna change the wheels? The thing to take into consideration first is: why? (looks? crappy quality? need a set of race wheels? etc)
Then, if you still wanna change, and assuming you've found a wheelset you like/afford/suits your needs, etc etc....is it Campy or Shimano? how about your drivetrain? They need to match, unless you really, really just want wheels that are not compatible with your current group - in which case you will need a conversion cassette or a "shiftmate" to get the spacing right.
Other than that - no problems - change wheels to your hearts content!

Thanks for the reply. I don't want any exploding wheels! This info really will help me out. I have an old set of race type wheels so I'll give it a try.
