Gerdemann really looks like a pimp in the banlieus of paris just needs a tracksuit and some more chains

Andy Shleck is struggling to stay upright, the upper body can hardly hold itself together, concave chest

    Contador, Spanish hip hop artist

Dekker has got the shorts that scream "I am a queen, where are the gay boys on this island, or atleast natives that will take money for favours"

Boonen looks like a playa' who tries to hard, haircut, 3 day growth, loud shorts, visor...

  2. They look like extras from a World War 2 POW film on their day off. What would a body laguage expert say about the defensife crossed arms? Their like adolescent girls who walk around with their arms crossed trying to hide their flat chests.

  3. The crossed arms is to try and make them look laugh just like tough gang dudes .

Doesn't work, especially when they went cavorting with dolphins in the same photo shoot.

more photos: pedalmag.com, tim de waele

  4. Looks like tryouts for a new Calvin Klein model.

Thank jeebus they are not wearing speedos.

  5. No wonder they can get up the climbs as fast as they do.

Other than the photo op I am puzzled by the "Amstel Curaçao". An all-expenses-paid holiday in exchange for one race apperance - not bad for couple hours work. The pic on Pez seems to suggest AC was putting the hurts on Dekker and co but is it for real or is it an orchestrated event where the pros get to rip the legs off local guys while the ogranizer pre-determines the outcome?

I suspect that the latter option is correct...

Yup, the CN report kinda confirms it:

Boonen finishes year with 'toughest race'

"Actually this is the hardest race of the year," Boonen explained. "Not only is it much too hot to race, we have also not touched our bikes for a few weeks. We are also up against the local riders who have been preparing for this race all year long especially to put the top guys in the hurt box."

I guess that was PR BS after all, notice the title adds 'quotes'. It could be true though, must be tough racing when the nearby tropical waters beckon. 🙂
