A mention in _Ultramarathon Man_ of a medic injecting blisters with superglue to reattach the skin to the foot got me thinking of just coating hotspots on your foot with superglue before a long event, to act like artifical calluses. Has anyone tried this?

Yes, it works well on open herpes sores too. Just put it on your johnson before you hump, and you are all set.

As calluses are a *cause* of blister formation, I don't think it's a great idea.
When I had thick pads of hardened skin over the ball of my foot, I used to get blisters underneath the callus. Since I've scraped all the hard skin off, I've not had the same problem.
