Does anyone know if a Shimano XT Octalink BB will work with a DA crankset? I heard tell of some sort of incompatability issue between mountain and road octalink parts, but it may have been apocryphal internet chatter.
Specifically, I want to use an XT BB with a DA crankset. I know it will be a little wider than a regulat double BB, but I really don't care about that at all. I'll just get one of those little chain-drop preventers for cross bikes.
So yes or no?
