  1. Melt a few pats of butter in a ramekin and add Splenda, vanilla
extract, and a little cream. Stir together until nice and smooth.
Eat it a tiny dab at a time on the end of a spoon. <1g carb between
the carrier in the Splenda and the corn syrup in the vanilla.

    Very yummy.

  5. I've been reading a book called "thirteen" in which there are people
genetically modified with Bonobo genes. They are women who are quiet
    promiscuous.

There weren't very many good band names left. We've had this one for
    9 years.
Some folks on this NG might find some of our stuff amusing, others

I'm very happy right now because we just got the proofs for the new
covergirl photo. She's even prettier than the last one, which is
    really saying something.

They also hibernate for part of the year.

Bonobos don't hibernate, silly. The chimpanzees and bonobos are our
closest relatives. The chimps went the direction of violence and male
domination. The bonobos are matriarchal and there is no sexual
    ownership, and very little violence.
In a way, they represent the dichotomy of human patriarchy and a
mostly untested ideal. Volunteering to be a test subject sounds fun,
    no?

Quietly promiscuous is the best way to be promiscuous. I've often
said, "Guys who kiss and tell end up doing a lot more telling than
    kissing."

  13. Well, in the book, the Bonobo modified humans hibernate.

When you consider that sperm from different males actively compete, when in
the same test-tube, we might deduce that our ancestors were very naughty.

Various studies show roughly 5% of children are raised by fathers
who don't know they aren't the biological father (varies by study
and by economic status within study so the 5% is only a rough
average). It seems our current population is as well.

Hunter gatherer societies don't have locking doors or any other
method for keeping women from having sex outside of marriage,
and it's clear from that 5% thing that that phase of hundreds of
thousands of years still dominates our evolution.

Don't the sperms from the same male compete, each tying to be the "seed"?

  16. In same males it seems to be a horse race. With different males there is
actual combat between sperm, if I remember the PBS special correctly.

That's my understanding too, although from other sources than PBS: that
something like 90% of sperm aren't designed to fertilize eggs, but are
built for combat with foreign sperm. I don't know if it's the case with
all animals, or just humans. I just picked up the book "Sperm Wars,"
which I think gets into this in detail, but it's still in my to-read
    pile.
