Winter shoes

I have the road version, which look the same apart from the soles. Lovely
and warm and comfortable.

There is a potential problem with water being soaked up by the neoprene
cuffs and ending up inside the shoes. Prevent this by making waterproof
covers out of rubber gloves. You can get black heavy-duty ones from
supermarkets.

They're okay for about an hour when it's below zero IME, after that
the cold gets a bit much. In the standard fit, there's not much room
for layering wolley socks, though they do a wide fit now which may be
better. If you can find a stockist, try them on with a few pairs of
socks.

I have the MW02 and love them for my commuting. I bought them in
preference to the road version because of the cleats which allow
walking; the road version (RW02?) has the cleats protruding. Cost me
£75 in Oct 06.
