My local town had a enviromental exhibition today. I popped in on my way
to the gym and discovered www.bikebins.com , I was impressed and have
now stuck them on my pressie list!
Usual disclaimer about not having anything to do with the company etc

In what way?
Heavier, bulkier and less flexible than Ortlieb BackRollers. Possibly
a benefit if you have a fragile cargo and are in the habit of picking
up knocks around the pannier regions?

I would think the rigid sides would make it much less flexible than a
normal pannier for fitting stuff, particularly odd shaped stuff, in.

Maybe they'd keep your beers cool if you threw in a couple of ice-
packs...
