indexing shimano Dura Ace gears

I currently have a problem that my gear shifting works fine.. part from a couple of gears that derail when under strain.

Must understanding of index gears is that this shouldn't happen.. if it works on gear ratio it should work on them all.. but clearly its not.

The right side of the Shimano Tech Doc has 5 steps to follow.

Worn chain and/or worn cog(s) will not hold well under strain.

its not worn, the bike is only a few months old and havent ridden is much due to injury.

it only happens on certain gears, when the front derailyer is on the small cog, and the back derailyer is on a couple of the middle cogs.

That's quite strange. Check that the cassette lockring is tight, and that the correct spacers are in position.

is it possible that the cables have stretched/settled in - this will happen an all freshly installed cable sets/new bikes etc - the answer is usually a rear deurallier adjustment - quite easy.

I agree, it is a little strange for this to happen if your chain of cogs aren't stretched / damaged.

My guess, would be

1) cable needs re-tensioning
2) have you given the deraileur hanger or parallelogramme a bash?
