  1. Man tries to sell stolen bicycle to shop from which he stole it
    http://www.japannewsreview.com/society/kansai/20071017page_id=2490

A 26 year old man who tried to sell a bicycle to the shop he had stolen it from 10 minutes earlier was arrested Tuesday after the owners of the shop alerted local police, Mainichi.jp reports.

According to the police, the man is suspected of having stolen one of the bicycles on display in front of a second hand bike shop in Matsusaka, Mie Prefecture around 2 pm on Tuesday.

After stealing it, the man took the bicycle behind his car and removed the price tag of 5,800 yen, after which he returned the bike to the shop, trying to sell it, together with a washing machine and a refrigerator.

The shop owner realized that the bicycle was one of the shop’s own, and alerted police.

The man has admitted to the allegations, and has also admitted he had stolen the washing machine and the refrigerator from a different shop. The police are currently investigating whether the man has committed any further crimes.

What a bargain I wondering if he was offering a package price a bike/washing machine AND refrigerator!! Although I don't see the connection 🙂

Japanese men don't do crime. So much so that when they do, they
haven't practiced, and do really silly things.

    fast he'd be!?

I thought he was going for the heavy disc rotating base thingy for his
disc wheels, but he went for the bearings in the end.
