When you upgrade your wheels, for example, from Shimano to HED 3, do you keep the less aero wheels on for training or do you train in your more expensive wheels? What is the life for these wheels?

I bought a couple of wheel upgrades, Mavic ES, and Cane Creek Aros 58's. Upgrades from a cheap set of alex wheels that came on the bike, for most of the summer and racing season, I just left the Mavic's on most of the time (mostly because i didnt have enough cassettes and didnt want to change it back and forth every time), but this fall and winter, I will be riding the alex wheels only, and put the others away for the winter. I only use the Cane Creeks for road racing and TTing.
