Nexus 8: shifter?

I'd try to source an Alfine 8spd rapidfire shifter. You *should* be
able to mount it up by the stem if using drops. The standard twist
shifter can also work, but it's a kludge. Downtube shifter will NOT
work.

No such luck, the cable travel is VERY different.

The standard Nexus twist grip is actually pretty nice. I was
skeptical at first, but after using them for a while I got to really
like them.

Another poster suggested an Alfine shifter, but these are not yet
available in the U.S. as an aftermarket item.

We keep nagging our suppliers to get these in, and we have high hopes
to be the first to be able to offer Alfine stuff when it does become
available in the U.S.
