  1. After checking out of the hotel yesterday (took a nice trip to
New Hampshire), I overheard some British (?) tourists
    commenting on someone's bumper sticker.

(in that accent) Got Deer? What is that? Got Deer WHOT?
    Loses something in the translation!

(laughing) I didn't feel like walking over and explaining about the
Got Milk? ad campaign and how there are a lot of take offs on
that. Somewhere in New England there are some old England
types leaf peeping and wondering about that stupid bumper sticker.

LOL. I have a "Got Twins?" sticker on the back of my minivan. That would
    probably confuse 'em, too. 😉

take-off on the Got Deer? bumper
    sticker.

As a longtime Thunderbird, Firefox and Sunbird user I have to say that
I've learned to love and hate each on its own terms.

Thunderbird when connected to an IMAP server will hammer the CPU.

Firefox doesn't release memory all that easily.

And Sunbird has quirks that will make you go crazy.

Some sayings just don't translate well far from home. When I visited
London a few years ago, I bought a t-shirt that said "mind the gap" on
the front. If you have never had the experience of riding the London
"tube" system, you will likely find that "mind the gap" meaningless.
