Velocity Quality Control?

  1. I just got a Velocity Deep-V rim from a guy on eBay (new in the plastic) and it seems that on one of
    the nipple holes drilled in the rim (the big ones that you would cover with rim tape), the aluminum
    that was originally there didn't come off all the way. The metal piece that used to be where the
    hole was hadn't come all the way off, and it's still connected to the rim at one spot. Also, it
    seems that whatever they used to drill the smaller spoke holes (the inner ones) also took off some
    material from the inside of the rim. \ / \ / \../ \/ Forgive the poor art, but if that's a
    cross-section of the rim, it appears that the drill bit hit the rim in those two places, taking off
    a little bit of aluminum. Is there any reason to worry about this? I've heard nothing but praise
    about these rims. Thanks! Matt

  2. Not only is the QC usually great, but the warranty is excellent. They want to hear good and bad
