I wish him well. He has always been a classy guy who let his riding do the talking.

I also can hardly wait until the climbs on next year's tour! I'm already dreaming about Ullrich,
Armstrong, Hamilton, Boloki, Heras, Mayo, et al fighting it out over the last few kelometers. And
Lance thought number 5 was hard!

For Heras to be a threat in the Tour his doping program has to address the dope driving the car.

Is that anything new? US Postal shouldn't be too surprised since they snatched him from Kelme under
similar circumstances, breaking his contract.

I'm not saying he'll win the Tour next year, but at least he'll put some action in the mountain
stages as opposed to trying to stop anything from happening.

Apparently you don't know Lance's history toward those he preceives as disloyal. I completely agree
that Lance will take great motivation at every opportunity to crush Heras in the upcoming tour. If
you've read much of anything about Lance you'd have come across plenty about this side of his
personality.

Actually, Benny didn't sell out his country, in-as-much-as his country was England and the
Confederation followed by the US didn't exist yet.. Benny was just in the unfortunate position
of backing the losing side in a rebellion.

I suppose Lance will crush him just like he crushed Tyler in LBL. It's going to be a very
interesting 2004.

Yeah for GC but he will still be finishing with the front groups (with those riders) in the
mountains. Yeah the dope in his new DS car is a great first loser.

As if they really needed to replace Heras. Beltran is a solid climber and proved it. He's also had a
high finish in the TdF in the past, 11th in 2000. Between Rubiera and Beltran they've got a pretty
solid crew.

What surprises me is the that Azevedo's contract is for three years. Wasn't Postal sponsorship to
run out at the end of 2004?

Yeahm I noted that too. Perhaps there is a clause that the final two years are contingent on
retaining sponsorship, be it USPS or a new sponsor taking over....

He should be able to easily over come the dope behind the wheel. As long as his team does what
it needs to do, he should do well. Who knows if he is up for a TDF win, but he should finish up
high in GC.

I really don't know if Beloki will be the same rider after that terrible spill. It all depends on
his recuperation and his training afterwards. I hope he does make it back, as strong as ever. He's
a nice little rider and seemed to have a great chance at winning last year's TDF until the
tragedy. Can you imagine how much more exciting it would have been with Beloki still in those last
few mountain stages? I also wonder if Vino will be a factor. Will he train differently so as not
to run out of gas at the end? He was so close to taking the whole thing.

Very, very, very good move on Heras' part. His time-trialing has been improving steadily, and Saiz's
expertise will be sure to continue that trend. It will be a nightmare for Armstrong to have two
ex-Posties lining up against him next year...
