Has any one tried the Power Breathe ??
Apparently it strengthens your breathing muscles, which in turn improves your performance.
I would be interested to hear from anyone that has used this product.

Cheers KramerThere was a discussion in another group some time ago and this site was referred:
http://home.hia.no/~stephens/ventphys.htm
It would appear that sedentary persons or elite athletes are incapable of using their maximum lung capacity. There are other limiting factors.
The apparent clinical tests in the "Power Breathe" references on their website mainly referred to competitive rowers (2 of the 3) and they, according to the Stephens website, have particular breathing issues because of the chest to knees position at the commencement of the stroke.
The cycling test was performed on post exercise recovery.
The exercise physiologists (Ric, 2LAP. J-Mat(?)) may have some views.

I think if you are fit and racing your bike, you may be better with the red one. I got one, but as you say, I'm not sure whether it helps at all.

I imagine we would be better off if someone would develop a safe drug that raises everyones vO2max to a much higher level.

I bet you can get better results by doing 30-60 second flat out intervals on a bike !
