Earplugs

Earplugs, like goggles, are often the subject of manufacturers' disguising
sales gimmicks as technology. The prime goggle example is the design known
as "swedish" - which do indeed fit some people, but many who are persuaded
to purchase them by glowing accounts from the true believers find that they
are better off with what they were using before.

You're not "missing something" - except a source for the plugs that fit
you. Keep looking, and let the rubes buy the "top technology".

Thank you; I really appreciate your answer and I believe you are right, of
course.
Nevertheless, I still would like to understand what is wrong with this
special model of earplugs which I cannot use. It interests me from a
technical POW, so I would be better equipped to decide what is best for me.
I would appreciate, also, definite recommendations about specific brands and
models.
Moreover, I cannot find the old model which I liked in the shops.

PS: Because of a special sensitivity in my ears this issue is very important
for me.
BTW, I do not like wax plugs.
